I began art direction on Rick and Morty in season 5. Each episode of Rick and Morty presents its own challenges both with the conceptualization of the script and the size of each episode. That combination provides opportunities and challenges in both the design of each episode and the production economy. Regardless, the design opportunities of Rick and Morty are limitless due to the nature and the complexity of every script and every animatic we get. One of the many pleasures of working on Rick and Morty has been the talented crew we have on staff and seeing what they do with the direction given to them. The art I present here is a combination of both concepts I have done and final production pieces sent to the animation vendor by designers and painters I have art directed.
